Kindergarten establishes the habits that make school work: listening, speaking in full sentences, handling books, counting with meaning, observing carefully and treating others kindly. Learning is play-based, oral and hands-on, and every child is expected to leave with the beginnings of reading and number sense.

Children meet history through their own lives and families: what happened yesterday, what happened when they were babies, and what their parents and grandparents remember. They order pictures in time and learn the flag, anthem and national holidays of Liberia.
