Responsible AI

AI is used to support learning, teaching and administration — never to replace human judgment, relationships or accountability. A person remains responsible for decisions that affect a learner.

We invest in teacher capacity before technology deployment. Teachers decide how AI is used in their classrooms, and our training is designed to strengthen — not sideline — their expertise.

We collect the minimum information needed, keep it access-controlled, and do not feed personal learner data into tools for purposes people did not agree to.

AI output can be wrong or biased. We teach participants to check sources, question outputs, and treat AI as a draft assistant rather than an authority. Where we use AI internally, staff review results before they are acted on.

Where AI meaningfully assists a result — for example, drafting feedback on a submission — that is disclosed to the people affected, and a human can review or override it.

We do not use AI to make commitments on behalf of Stars Ablaze, and no automated response should be read as an offer of admission, employment, funding or partnership.
