Health Education gives learners the knowledge and habits to protect themselves and their households: personal hygiene and handwashing, nutrition and food safety, safe water and sanitation, communicable and non-communicable disease prevention, first aid, mental and emotional wellbeing, substance avoidance, and age-appropriate health and life-skills education delivered with cultural sensitivity and parental awareness. Public-health lessons from Liberia's own epidemic experience are used to teach prevention and community response.
